Carrie Watts begrudgingly lives with her busy, overprotective son, Ludie and pretentious daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae. No longer able to drive and forbidden to travel alone, she wishes for freedom from the confines of the house.

In this movie a couple of comedians try to disappear for a while and end up in an asylum, where confused as the mad, and try to escape, but one of them falls in love and that complicates things.

A woman has to live with a daughter in law who hates her and a son who does not dare take her side. While the unhappy family lives in a Houston apartment, Carrie Watts dreams of returning to Bountiful, where she was raised.

First we see him at his 9 years, then in the period between 16–19 years. Ruslan’s childhood falls on the late 80’s, his father is a cardsharper and swindler. One day he takes his family to the wedding party of the son of his friend, a criminal boss. Ruslan falls in love with the bride at first sight and promises to find her, no matter how life turns out... The project is based on the novel “Wait for Summer and See What Happens”, which won the Andrei Bely Award in 2021.
